Roulette Monte Carlo Rules

Roulette Monte Carlo, much like French Roulette, uses the European single-zero wheel. By Roulette Monte Carlo rules, the wheel must have 37 slots labeled 0 through 36. This is in contrast to the American “double zero” wheel that features an extra slot designated “00.”

However, unlike its French predecessor, Roulette Monte Carlo does not adhere to the En Prison rule that affects how a zero spin result is handled. Otherwise, though, Roulette Monte Carlo rules are much the same as those for its European counterpart.

At the start of a game, players follow Roulette Monte Carlo rules by making their wagers using the layout table. Bets can be made against the house by placing chips in various numbered boxes, on the lines between numbers, or on various other options (like red versus black, or even versus odd). When playing in a casino, players are allowed to keep betting until the dealer actually calls out “No more bets!” as soon as the ball slows its pace.

Roulette Monte Carlo rules permit many different betting options, which fall into two categories: "inside" bets and "outside" bets. When you look at a roulette table layout, you’ll see a grid of numbers to bet on as well as various boxes located outside the grid that offer additional betting choices. Bets within the grid of numbers are the inside bets, while those bets beyond the grid are considered outside bets. For specifics, see Roulette Monte Carlo Betting.

When you play roulette at Casino Elegance, the "Spin" button will become active once the first bet is placed, but players can then continue to make additional bets and change their existing bets until satisfied. If a player hits the "Re-bet" button, he can duplicate his bets from the previous round.

Once the "Spin" button is clicked, the wheel begins to spin and the roulette ball is released. As it travels around the wheel and slows down it will fall gradually toward the center, eventually coming to rest in a numbered slot. That is the winning number for that round. Look at the tally board on the right side of your screen for recent spin results. The newest results appear at the bottom.

In keeping with Roulette Monte Carlo rules, the dealer then clears losing bets from the layout and pays winning bets according to the following table:

The following Roulette Monte Carlo rules have more relevance in a casino room than online, but are nonetheless useful to know:

  • Do not touch chips placed on the layout after the dealer has called "No more bets."
  • Do not toss chips onto the roulette table. They might displace bets already made. Place wagers on the layout carefully.
  • Do not touch the winning number once the dealer has marked it.
  • Consider tipping your dealer-it's generally considered polite.
